I am thrilled to announce that the B-Roll Media Camp will be part of the 4th Annual Talent and Skills Camp, sponsored by the Mark Ingram Foundation and organized by the talented Kelcy Williams and Lurenda Shelby on July 22nd!
For the past 4 years. Kelcy and Lurenda have been creating an amazing experience for kids, and I am truly honored to join forces with them.
If you know any kids who have a passion for broadcast media, this is an opportunity they won't want to miss! Our camp is designed to provide hands-on training, expert guidance, and a fun-filled environment for young media enthusiasts to explore
and develop their skills.

B-roll Matters is a media camp that wants to expose the underserved youth in the community to the world of media. You may ask what B-Roll is. ˈbē-ˌrōl: recorded video of subjects or locations used to provide introductory video for the story.
The program's mission is to provide a safe learning environment for students while offering hands-on education and job training in Mass Communications through broadcast, social media, photography, print journalism, and news literacy. Students will learn why b-roll is critical to powerful storytelling for capturing—compelling visuals for any video story. The camp will also highlight editing, lighting, and the art of storytelling. The camp will be focused on youth 8 to 18 years old.
Youth voices are a critical part of our community dialogue. B-Roll Matters strives to help youth to be creators and consumers of media. We hope to gain creative confidence through the camps and strengthen their voice.
